My Best Friend

My best friend was a moneymaking machine but I never told her

She was an angel but a little insane but I never told her

Her uncle used to cry in his sleep but I never told him

He was a banker and a liar for sure but I never told him

He snuck into her room some nights but I never told her

He fiddled and all that stuff but I never told her

He used to lie to her father but I never told him

He would steal from her mother but I never told her

While she was out he’d sleep in her room

With a hooker or two but I never told her

My best friend was a moneymaking machine but she never told me

Her uncle used to pay for the “fiddling” and she never told me

He paid her from every theft but she never told me

My best friend wasn’t her uncle’s niece and she never told me

My best friend was a liar too and she never told me

My best friend was my neighbour’s maid and she never told me

Her father wasn’t her father nor was her mother hers

My best friend was a lying freak but she never told me

She wasn’t really my best friend though but I never told her

I reported to my neighbour but I never told her

She was fired because of me but I never told her

My best friend was pregnant for her “uncle” but she never told him

She aborted the baby and never told him

She died from the botched abortion and I never told her

That I always knew the truth but I never told her
